Keep your newspaper's contacts current
In any company, steps need to be taken when employees come and go. New employees need e-mail accounts, phone numbers, passwords, security badges, and credit cards. When employees leave a company, their phone and e-mails get redirected and passwords, security badges and credit cards changed. Are you forgetting anything?
One thing you’re likely to forget is to contact us at TownNews.com. Only contacts in our customer relationship manager (CRM) database are able to submit support tickets. If we receive a call from someone at your paper who is not in CRM, we will need to verify that their name and contact information should be added with an existing contact before moving forward. Not letting us know about staffing changes can cause delays while we are waiting for confirmation.
This also means that if a former employee calls in to make changes, we’ll still think they work for your paper. Former employees with access to your site can cause havoc. In these cases, customers are pleased that we ask to confirm information.
Updating contact information is easy. Just call our customer support staff at 800-293-9576 or submit a ticket at support.townnews.com and be ready to provide the following information:

Once logged in, you can see all tickets you’ve submitted, along with the tickets submitted by anyone else at your newspaper or business entity. Similarly, our staff will be able to more quickly get a glimpse of all open tickets at your company, enabling us to more quickly understand the full realm of your request.
TownNews.com also has a number of e-mail lists that you and your staff can subscribe to in order to easily monitor the latest news and alerts.
